Sunday Market News

October 5, 2010 06:19 by OFMAdmin
2010 marks the start of a great new tradition: the Sunday Market. On opening day, 45 vendors lined 67th Street in Aksarben Village. Shoppers enjoyed many of their favorite vendors from the Saturday Market while also receiving the benefits of free parking and easy access to all the surrounding shops in Aksarben Village.

By the close of the season, the Market had expanded into the park to accommodate new vendors and even more shoppers.  With such a great response from Market fans and support from our awesome sponsors - we are happy to announce that the Sunday Market’s 2011 season will run from May to October with new hours, 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM. More details to follow!

Sunday Market in Full Swing!

June 7, 2010 07:43 by OFMAdmin

The Sunday Market is now making weekends twice as nice! Following a gorgeous day downtown at the Market, the Sunday Market was bustling with customers and mouth-watering arrays of different home baked goodies and fresh produce. Thank you to all the vendors, Aksarben Village retailers and of course our loyal customers for making the Sunday Market a huge success!

Aksarben Village was the perfect back drop to the new Market. Over thirty-five vendors lined 67th Street, allowing shoppers to mingle among the stalls while having easy access to the different Aksarben Village shops. Among the most popular features at the new Market are the free and easy parking, convenient hours (10 am to 2 pm) and Wohlner’s Market on site makes it a complete shopping experience. If you have not yet had the chance to visit the new Sunday Market at Aksarben Village then come by next Sunday, the Market will run through September 5th, Labor Day weekend.

New Sunday Market

May 24, 2010 08:21 by OFMAdmin
The ‘buy fresh, buy local’ movement has found an additional home at the Omaha Farmers Market at Aksarben Village, starting May 30th and continuing every Sunday through September 5th. Although the atmosphere of the Saturday Farmers Market is sure to transfer to Sunday’s Market, there are many new things to look forward to at Aksarben Village. Among the Market’s neighbors are: Wohlner’s Grocery, Juice Stop and Jones Bros. Cupcakes. Free parking on site will make it even more convenient to drop off your Market bags and return to explore Aksarben Village’s shops. Aksarben Village is also quickly becoming a center for some of the summer’s hottest events. Throughout the summer Aksarben Village will be hosting live concerts including: the Cowboy Dave Band, Rockers for Knockers concert series benefitting the Susan G. Komen for the Cure Foundation and the Party in the Park concert series starring Chris Saub. Starting May 30th come for the Market and stay for the fun of Aksarben Village!
